School is right around the corner signalling that our kids are another year older. As they grow older they start making more and more decisions independently. We can equip them to make wise choices.
We know that children and teens are much more likely to make the right decisions when trusted adults in their lives have talked to them about the reasons to steer clear of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs.
The following is a video produced by some Johnson State College students. It is our goal that it can be used as a springboard for conversations with your teens – why would they choose prevention? Why is it important? What challenges do they see in choosing prevention at their school? Do they have friends choose prevention? Do they see adults modeling substance abuse prevention?
