Kate Lewton is a youth member of Healthy Lamoille Valley and a soon-to-graduate Stowe High School Senior. During the past school year she has worked as an HLV coalition intern and served as the Lamoille Area Youth Coalition Ambassador while regularly participating in HLV steering team and coalition meetings. In recognition for her dedicated work, Kate was awarded a Youth Award at Prevention Day 2022 earlier this year.
Kate excels at communicating with those around her and building relationships with community partners to mediate community and youth engagement. This has included working on the creation and implementation of HLV’s community engagement and activity resource for middle school students Live Your Why: Passport Edition. Most recently, she collaborated with Stowe High School staff to promote a basketball clinic for students and helped coordinate a public talk by New York Times bestselling author Jessica Lahey.
Kate brings a steadfast dedication to the field of prevention and continues to serve as an amazing advocate for her community and for substance misuse prevention throughout Vermont.
