Join us at JSC Bentley Hall, on Monday March 16th at 6pm, to view the highly-acclaimed Mothers of Bedford Directed by Jenifer McShane, a film documenting the triumphs and challenges of parenting behind bars. The film follows five women who adapt to raising their children through the kids’ visits to the facility.
You will meet Barbara (Bobby) Blanchard-Lewis, featured prominently in the film as the director of the Children’s Center at New York’s Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, including the Parenting Center, Nursery and Visiting Room Family area. Bobby will share her perspective on the film, followed by a question and answer discussion with the audience.
Bobby is currently co-facilitating our Journey to Fatherhood program through the Lamoille Family Center.
