Question: What can someone expect when they enter the Recovery Center?

Answer: When someone enters North Central Vermont Recovery Center (NCVRC), they can expect to feel hope. For many, their first visit is the first time in a very long time, or sometimes ever, that they’ve experienced that feeling. At NCVRC we know how hard it can be to walk up our front steps for the first time.

Many of us working here have made that difficult climb ourselves. NCVRC is a peer-run organization, meaning our staff are living proof that people can and do recover from a substance use disorder. Our staff is comprised of incredible individuals who all have their own unique approach to walking their recovery journeys. This allows us to tailor recovery support services and community resource navigation in a way that fits each guest’s needs.

We offer a wide variety of recovery support services for individuals, family members, parents and caregivers, and patients at Copley Hospital. We also offer harm-reduction supplies such as Fentanyl and Xylazine test strips and Narcan (Naloxone) nasal spray to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. And all our services are free of charge.

We invite anyone in the community to stop in. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and a snack from our kitchen and have a seat. Even if you only stay for a few minutes the first time, enjoy those few minutes of safety and catch a little glimmer of hope that you may have thought was lost for good. “HOPE is found here” is literally on NCVRC’s t-shirts!
