On October 24th, Healthy Lamoille Valley held a fall coalition event bringing together a diverse group of community members to discuss topics surrounding youth substance prevention. The participants broke out into three groups to share which topics were important to them and what could be done to create a healthy community. The topics ranged from local and state policy to greater volunteer opportunities.

These discussions, which included student participation from Hyde Park Elementary and the GMTC Allied Health Program, brought a greater sense of community among the participants toward achieving their goals. As HLV Coordinator Jessica Bickford said, “We can create actionable collaborative plans that can create lasting positive community change!”
